I like this one because you can really see his adorable pirate onesie and the look on his face while looking at Grandpa John is just too cute.

Workin’ at the carwash!
Lauren helped Daddy wash the van tonight. I started the job but Kev had to finish it as the Sprout woke up and duty called!
Another trip to the dentist
Today, Lauren made her 3rd visit to the dentist (4th if you count the emergency trip.) I just love Pediatric and Adolescent dentistry, they’re fabulous!! I especially love Lauren’s dentist, Dr. Bothun, as she has volunteered to visit my ECFE classroom and was wonderful with the children! Lauren had a blast and was really sad when it was time to go. All the women there just fawned over her (especially her Matilda Jane outfit, which isn’t even her cutest one IMHO!) Lauren’s teeth looked great, so we’re all set for another 6 months!

Lauren’s new toothbrush
When we came back home from Windom, we brought Gaga along with us. She’s helping me wrangle the kiddos and get ready for the big party this weekend. She brought along a new toothbrush for Lauren. It’s a Dora electric brush and she’s in luuuurrrrve with it!

Jack, meet Jack
Today, Lauren, Jackson and I took our first trip to Windom. Jackson was finally able to meet his namesake, my grandpa Jack. They hit it off!
Lauren had a tea party in her bedroom at Gaga’s. I wonder how she will do with sharing a room with her brother when we visit?

Happy Birthday Beanitude!
Today, is Lauren’s 3rd birthday. If you’re wondering why she has my phone in her hand, it’s because she was talking to Gaga.
Here she is enjoying one of her birthday gifts, a Backyardigans paint book. She absolutely loved the paint book (with the paint already on the page.)

It’s the beanitude!!
Today, Lauren and I met our friends at the Waseca water park for the itty bitty beach party (for kids under 7,) while Daddy stayed home with the Sprout. Lauren had a blast for and hour and 15 minutes and then decided she was super cold and needed to “make a tent” to warm up. Once she was warm, we headed back into the water and made a breakthrough in the “jumping into the water” department. She FINALLY jumped into the water (into my arms) without having to hold on to my hand or hands while jumping. She was really excited and so was this mama!
We celebrated with some Ron Don’s (what she calls McDonald’s.) We put all of the kids together at one table (and then we sat on the other side of the restaurant, hahahah only kidding.) They sure do look big sitting there all by themselves.

Happy (1 month) Birthday, Jackson!
“Oh Hai!”
Lauren wanted to get in on the photo action too. She just wouldn’t sit where I asked her to, so her is the top of her head(and what I just noticed while posting this, what looks like it could be Jackson’s pacifier in her mouth!)
Wow Zone
Today, we met some of our friends at the Wow Zone for bowling, lunch and games. Lauren’s favorite game was the basketball shoot, even though she could barely get the ball over the top of the plexiglass safety guard. We also ordered her birthday cake today. This was the inspiration:
This is Wubbzy. Lauren loves Wubbzy and will be wearing her custom Wubbzy outfit at her party. I’m hoping they can pull off the cake and that I don’t have to submit it to cake wrecks!
Later today, we had some family rest time. It started out with Jack fussing and Lauren screaming at him. So, I put Jack in with Kevin (who was taking a nap as he wasn’t feeling well.) After it got quiet, Lauren asked where he was and when I told her they were resting together she wanted to join in. She took it upon herself to go down to her room brought back her pillow, paci, monk and a blankie. Then, I decided to lay down too (after I got the camera of course.) The quiet rest time lasted about 43 seconds. It was then that Lauren asked to watch tv, I told her no and then we decided to go outside and play together instead. Fun times!
As for Jackson, he is just starting to fit into some (not all) of his newborn clothes. Thank goodness for preemie clothing, even though it’s super hard to come by!

Sleeping baby
This little guy really prefers to sleep on his side (and boy is he strong!) I couldn’t resist taking this picture. Isn’t he just the cutest thing with his hands under his face like that?
4 weeks
Lauren may be coming around. For the past couple of days she has randomly shared her toys with Jackson and has given him unprompted kisses!!!

Bath time!
Look, he’s finally grown a little baby belly! He enjoyed this bath much more than his previous ones. I gave up on using the sling thing and unhooked the bottom of it so he could soak in the water. He was much happier to stay warm in the water.

Happy (early) birthday, Lauren!
Check out Lauren’s new set of wheels. Gaga & Papa gave her her birthday gifts early this year. She’s now the proud owner of a bicycle and a motorized scooter (just like Daddy!) I was extremely nervous about the scooter. I was the one who suggested that my parents buy it for her last year (and they did, it’s been sitting under our stairs for the last 9 months.) I just wasn’t sure how she would do on it. Luckily, it all turned out perfectly. She loves it and drives it like a pro (in fact, much better than the bicycle with training wheels she also got from them.) Watch out neighbors, Lauren is on the loose!
