Hams
Both of my children were really hamming it up for the camera today. They must have had some serious cheese for breakfast!

Gymnast Jack
Today, while Lauren was at school, Jackson and I had a preview day of parent/tot gymnastics. He likes to play, but is definitely not ready to sit and follow directions. Funny, Lauren started gymnastics right at 18m and did fantastic, but Jack would much rather run around and play. Side note, I got a note today from Lauren’s school that someone in her class had head lice. UG!

A little Jackson love
I’m getting bad with taking pictures. Here are some rather uneventful photos of Jack just hanging out in his jammies and playing with the hot potato.

Sparkle Face
Today, Lauren and I were coloring with her color wonder sparkle paper and she ended up wearing a lot of the glitter from the paper. You’ll have to click on the pics to see the sparkles.

More Valentine’s day loot
Good gravy! It’s a good thing Lauren loves to brush her teeth or this would be a cavity waiting to happen.

Go Wild!
Kevin and I were excited to attend our very first MN wild game tonight. The tickets were one of his Christmas gifts and were a gift he really really wanted, so I was pleased to get them for him. It was a fantastic day for us too, as we had my BFFL Jess watch the kids so we could head up to the cities a bit early. I wanted to go to MOA to get a pair of shoes (I ended up leaving with 3 new pairs and told Kevin that’s what he gets for not finding the store I was in fast enough. HA!) Seriously though, when you have enormous feet like me and are in a store with a plethora of gorgeous designer shoes that are actually IN YOUR SIZE, you can’t leave anything behind. After dropping a small fortune in footwear, we rushed over to St. Paul to meet Grandpa John & Grandma Pat (although the kids weren’t there so I guess it was just John & Pat, LOL) and Kevin’s sister Jennifer and her husband Craig for dinner. We ate at a delicious pizza place (great choice Jen!) and then took in the game.
We can’t wait to go to another Wild game.

Pre-school +
Today, was Lauren’s first day of Pre-school +. This is a program that is in addition to her morning pre-school class. It’s basically extended day pre-school with lunch time included. Lauren had been asking about this for awhile (as some of her friends from her morning class do it too) so I decided to bite the bullet (mainly the bill$$$ for it ahhaha) and enroll her. I thought this would be a nice transition into full-day kindergarten next year. She is at school now M-W-F from 9-3:15. Let me tell you, it’s pretty quiet around the house without her (and Jack is pretty crazy himself, so that’s saying a lot.) She loved her first day and is so excited to do it again next week. I was feeling a little misty-eyed as I packed her lunch thinking to myself, “Man, they grow so quickly!” However, with her being a late July birthday, I thought this would be a helpful thing to experience in the transition.

A new week
Here is Lauren in her new Naartjie outfit. She was really excited to wear it to school today as her friend’s Marleigh and Keana both got the same top (in a different color) this past weekend when were at the MOA.
I just love Jackson’s eyelashes!

Happy Super Bowl
We went over to the Muggli’s house tonight for the big game. There was lots of doors to open and close and buttons for Jack to push on the piano. For Lauren there was a piƱata and lots of candy and for Daddy there was lots of geeky jail breaking of phones to be done. Absolutely no watching of the big game occurred and I’d say it was a good night.
Girls’ weekend!
Amy2 and I had a fantastic (1st annual) girls’ weekend this weekend. We spent all day Saturday shopping at the Albertville outlets and most of Sunday at the MOA. What a fun time and a very much deserved event (if you ask me!) We stayed up late in , got kicked out of the hotel hot tub, and spent entirely too much money (if you ask Amy.) Let’s do it again (and next time everyone should come, it’s a blast!)
