Time to decorate
We had a casual relaxed Thanksgiving that involved going to the Asian Buffet (hey, they had turkey and gravy!) I was just not into the whole shebang after spending so much time away from home. We originally weren’t planning to return until the 25th, but we decided we should try to make it back for Lauren’s hockey practice since she only had made 1 of them since joining the team and then leaving for a 2 week vacation.

Vacation!
We had a blast and it was mostly a surprise for the kids. Since I posted over 100 of my favorite photos from the trip onto facebook, here is a one per day photo recap!
Day 1: Driving (Just call us the Griswolds)
Day 2: More driving and arriving in Galveston (aka Pleasure Pier and their first time in the Ocean)
Day 3: Embarkation (We’re on a ship!)
Day 4: Sea Day (Elegant night)
Day 5: Another sea day (more fun in the sun/water)
Day 6: Montego Bay (‘ya mon!)
Day 7: Grand Cayman (turtles!)
Day 8: Cozumel (Dolphins!)
Day 9: Last sea day
Day 10: Disembarkation (Brrr, why is it unusually cold in Tx?) and drive to DFW
Day 11: Fun with GAT & GUR in Dallas (why don’t we do this more often?)
Day 12: Drive home (Nooooo!)
We left Dallas at 6am and made it to our home by about 9pm. Now, the mess!

Happy (early) Thanksgiving
Jack is ready for his pre-school Thanksgiving feast. He is going today (Thursday) instead of his usual Friday because little does he know, he won’t be attending school tomorrow.

Lauren the hockey player?
Lauren participated in a try hockey for free clinic this weekend. They provided all of the equipment and she got to try it out on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday she was so excited about it after getting off of the ice. Then, on Sunday she was absolutely ecstatic. She was beaming from ear to ear telling me about how much she loved it. Needless to say, I guess we’re hockey parents now. They make it sooooo easy on you the first year it’s hard to say no. (Discounts, no fundraising, etc etc.) It’s amazing how much she had improved just from one day to the next. She’s definitely a beginner, but her skating is really coming along quickly. I think it really helps that her friends Marleigh and Keana were there too and are also pretty into it!!

Olivia
Here I am at Barnes & Noble with Olivia the pig. About 20 minutes later is was me inside of that costume and it was fun. However, the person in the costume before me was about 5’1 and 115lb and the costume was constricting on her, so let’s just say I was a tight fit.
