Who knows? I think Jack must have taken this one with my ipad.

Snow mountain 2-bigger and wider
This is a pic I took from atop the snow pile and the base of our driveway. I sure hope it melts by May.
Happy Birthday to me
Jess and I went out tonight to celebrate the anniversary of my successful womb exit. She is moving to Tucson next week. :( It’s been super nice having her around for the past two years.

Snow mountain
More to come, oh joy oh joy! The snow pile is over 6 feet high at the end of our driveway. It seems the city has decided that our yard will house the snow for the cul de sac this year.

Weekend with friends
We had a fun weekend with the Loraas family. We met in the cities and played all day and night (and the next day too!) Thanks for a fun time!
Too busy to look at Mama!

Early dismissal
I took this pic of Lauren before school this morning, because I liked the way her hair looked. Little did I know, (well actually I predicted it but that’s another story) that she would be home earlier than expected. The blizzard is upon us.
Sooo, to help pass the time we decided to try out a recipe that came in Jack’s book of the month (which was an Italian cookbook for kids.) So, we whipped up a delicious berry semifreddo. It was basically strawberries, mascarpone cheese and some powdered sugar frozen into a gelato type substance. It was alright, but I wouldn’t make it again.
The kids say, “YUM!” Oh, and Yes! Jack did stay in his pajamas all day.

The climbing beanitude
Lauren had a really good time climbing the wall tonight. She made it about half way to the top and then, was too nervous to continue. She did great!!

New socks from Grandma!
Grandma Pat sent a surprise for the kiddos in the mail. They both got a pair of hand knit socks. While they were visiting over Christmas Pat was working on a pair for Auntie Jen and Lauren asked if she could have a pair too. They are both in love with the socks and their feet are cozy warm too. Thanks Grandma Pat!!

A little climbing fun
I decided to take a community education class and try out the climbing wall they installed at my alma mater. It was a blast! I made it to the top a few times (click on the panoramic pic.) I can’t wait to go back and do it again. I wore my heart rate monitor and never realized that it was a decent workout. (Bonus!)

No school dress-up
It’s about negative six million degrees outside, so the Governor called off school today. We’ve already thrown boiling water outside to see if it would turn to snow (no, but a majority of it evaporated into a mist before hitting the ground.) Now, we’re on to dress up. This time she’s a peacock genie.
