George is the Purple class mascot.  He’s quite the curious little monkey.  Jack wasn’t incredibly into him so he didn’t come with us everywhere.  But, then when Monday came Jack didn’t want to give him back, so he must have liked something about him.

It’s official, we’re all dying.  Ok, that’s a slight exaggeration but only slight as far as Jack and I are concerned.   We will all make a full recovery but it’s really lingering.  I went from just slightly yucky yesterday morning to dying by the end of the night.  Jack has worsened today as well. 

I’ll try anything

Lauren’s hair is so broken and damaged that if we can’t get it under control a drastic haircut is going to become a necessity.

Since no one is feeling particularly great around here we blew up the air mattress and watched a movie this afternoon (while the gunk soaked into Lauren’s hair.)

A cold summer day

Boy is it cold out right now.  We went to the park after dinner tonight and really needed to bundle up.  Geez, it’s still summer, right?

Jack’s first day

Jack had a great first day of pre-school (contrary to the bottom photo where he was “being shy”.)

Jack plays soccer

Tonight, Jack’s team played our Godson Mark’s team (of which Phil is the coach of.)  It was kind of a confusing night for Jack.  First off, he doesn’t really understand the game.  Then, add to it his friend Mark is playing against him and his Godfather Phil is coaching the other team.  Well, that made for a confused little boy. 

Hopefully he is having fun and by the end of the season he’ll have some clue of what is going on.

The randomest

Lauren had real and actual school today.  Jack starts school on Monday.  So, he helped me pump up my bike tires while he could.  They both started soccer tonight.  Oh, and Jack is a bed hog (incase you didn’t already know.

Lauren’s first day of school

 

Today, was the first day of school.  Our Godson Mark started kindergarten today as well so we had to get a quick pic with him before he headed off.  They chose to send him to a Public choice school instead of our neighborhood school so they won’t be riding the bus together.

Jack was not happy that Lauren got to go to school and he did not (at least not today!)  He was much happier after a trip to a park.

It’s that time again.  Today, we had Lauren’s entrance conference.  I cannot believe I have a 2nd grader!!

Rewind

Jack starts soccer for the first time this week.  Although, I didn’t set out to re-create this original picture, it just so happened he was wearing the same outfit as Lauren was before she started soccer.

Sea Life

 

Today, we visited the Sea Life aquarium at the MOA.  We got the tickets for free with our hotel stay in Eagan (love the pick your package program.)

 

I especially love the pic of Jack with the Jellyfish!  There were some really cool animals in the aquarium.  I love the big sharks!
