We enjoyed a fun visit the the new Children’s museum that is finally open in it’s permanent home. We will definitely go back again.

Cookie time
Today, we discovered a new-ish business that seems to have a smart business model. They’re called insomnia cookies and they deliver warm cookies until like 3am (and are located just off campus in the heart of the College district.) GENIUS! The kids (and us) loved the delicious warm cookies. Why didn’t I think of that?

Hoppe Easter
Our family photo looks like a GAG reel. Jack was Sir grumpy pants.
Oh well. It wouldn’t be a family photo if Jack wasn’t acting a fool.
Chocolate eggs made it all better.

Pre-Easter cooking
Today after Lauren’s 1st communion photos I put her to work preparing for our Easter meal. She zested oranges and helped me make a new cupcake recipe. Yum!!

Jack managed to not BUST his egg that he brought to school for E day. We hard boiled it to help, but you never know!

Happy Birthday Kevin
We seem to have an unfortunate tradition going for us this year. It seems that we’ve spent every birthday in the hospital. We spent mine in the ER for Lauren. Now we’ve spent Kevin’s in Sioux Falls for my Grandpa. I’m beginning to dread the kids’ birthdays this summer if this pattern continues. Anyhow, over the long weekend (Friday/Monday off from school) we did some celebrating as well as visiting Great Grandpa Jack.
Kev’s favorite=Shogun. Kev’s most favorite=Texas Roadhouse. We celebrated both Kevin and Elizabeth’s birthday that night.
the Scheel’s store in SF is EPIC! They have a Ferris wheel and a play climber area plus a ton of really cool photo op’s. We will definitely go and shop there again.
A treat for two really well behaved in the hospital children. They were such troopers with spending both days (most of the day) in the hospital.
