We ended up with some great seats to tonight’s hockey game. The kids loved sitting so close to the action…
…almost as much as they loved all of the food!

This is totally random. We also have no idea how it happened as Jack was supposed to be asleep in his bed. However, we came into our room to find him sleeping on top of our bed with all of the lights on and the fluffiest of kitties snuggled up to him. It was too cute to resist a photo!
I just love this comparison photo of Kevin and Jack in these almost identical sweaters made for them by Grandma Georgie!! Jack was not pleased at the itchiness of the sweater so we layered it just like Kevin had it.
Today, we did our annual trek to the LCARC for swimming with the MOMS Club. My kiddos are getting a bit old for it, but still managed to have some fun with some friends.
We made another trip to the cheap seats theater. After last nights epically long night/early morning pretending I’m still young, I tried my best to stay awake during the movie, but failed. Lauren kept poking me, “Mom you’re sleeping.” I know I know, just let me be, this movie is BOoooooring! (my thoughts --of course I was all like, “Ooh I’m just resting my eyes honey.)
This picture is my new desktop photo!!
Since this may be the only photo I ever get with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham I shall cherish it forever. They don’t exactly do meet and greets, lol! So, obviously I was able to attend another Fleetwood Mac concert. It was a nerve wracking experience to get the tickets though. Worse than Taylor Swift honestly. We went through all of the pre-sales and they weren’t giving up the good seats and since I had such good seats previously I really needed to be better to make it worthwhile to attend again. Fast forward to our October cruise and I was out of the country when they actually went on public regular sale. Luckily Robert knew what I wanted and when we landed in St. Thomas I was greeted with a great voicemail claiming our success (row 7, yeah!!)
Just for comparison purposes, here’s a flashback photo (which I randomly dug up last week looking for a totally unrelated photo in my parent’s basement.) It was the 90's and my first concert at the then Mankato civic center. I may or may not have been 16.
Pizza and a movie, typical New Years celebration with kids. Jack made it to about 10pm and then asked to go to bed (which is highly unusual for him, he’s the kid who needs no sleep.)
Lauren watched the ball drop on the East coast and may have been under the impression that it was midnight here and happily went to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
