Tuesday

Jack isn’t crawling yet but is working on it.  He’s currently rocking back and forth and scooting backwards.  Lauren was stuck in this stage for a long time too, so I’m not expecting much in the way of baby mobility anytime soon.

Children’s museum

Since Kevin was out of town for the CCDC competition today, we met some friends at the Children’s museum for some fun.  Lauren had a blast running around like a loon in the tapescape.  Jack chilled out and snuggled with my friends.  He also sat in his stroller like a big boy and drank a bottle all by himself.

Open Gym

This morning, we went to Open Gym at one of the ECFE locations.  We all had a blast riding the wiggle racers around the gym (much easier than down our driveway!)  Jack even went for his first WR ride.  I think he liked it.

Thursday

Lauren picked this outfit out last night and if we hadn’t been so pressed for time to get her to pre-school there is no way I would have let her out the door in it.  She looks like she’s ready for the spring floods.  The arms are the worst but the pants are bad too.  This little girl is finally having a growth spurt and many of her size 3’s are getting sent to the sell pile.  It seems like every week I’m saying, “Well, I guess this will be the last time we wear this outfit.”

Here’s Jack working his banana finger magic.  We’re starting to work on self feeding and table foods.  He still loves his pureed food, but it’s good to branch out.

Lauren actually asked me to take her picture today.  I had better write this one on the calendar.

Jack and Lauren have really started to play with each other more lately, which is so nice to see.

The sleeping baby

Jack’s newest thing is to snuggle up to his bumper .  He likes to bury his face in it while going to sleep.  Little stinker likes me to worry about him!

Baby play date

Here’s Lauren telling me all about the big fish she’s going to catch with Grandpa John this summer.  Ok, not really,  but doesn’t it totally look like a “My fish was this big” kinda move?

Today, an old friend from high school came to town to visit us with her baby boy Alton.  He was born about a week after Jack so it’s fun to compare the two.  They seemed to have a good time, even though Jack is currently on a nap hiatus and only slept for an hour TOTAL today.

Jack went through two outfits today.  Poor guy!  I managed to catch his little snuggle time with Daddy tonight.  I’m trying to be better at catching little moments.
