It was another nice day outside today, so we had to have a lot of outdoor time.
Lauren finally got a chance to jump with our neighbors on their trampoline. She absolutely loves to jump, but the neighbors have an older child with a lot of friend who also like to jump and bean is just too small to hang out with them. Their youngest kids (twins) are in kindergarten and Lauren just loves to play with them.
Today, we had some pictures taken with some baby animals. Lauren was super excited to see the bunnies and baby chicks today. Unfortunately, her interest in them didn’t last too long. Here are waaaay too many pictures of them and the animals.
She thought it was pretty funny when she was holding one bunny and another one came scampering into the picture to hang out for awhile.
Jack was not very into it. He was sleeping when we got there and did not really appreciate being woke up by loud sounds and pictures.
Lauren wanted to ride to the park, so I busted out the buggypod for Jack to ride in. Lauren is officially too big for it (weight wise, according to the technical specifications.) Jack didn’t seem to mind it, so all was well. Of course, it started to sprinkle as soon as walked out the door of my parent’s house. Luckily, my kids are not that sweet, so we managed all right. Jack loved his very first swing ride. So, now it’s pretty much set in stone that we’re going to have to get some kinds of swing set/play land extravaganza soon, as both of my kiddos love to swing.
After a trip to the park, we ventured out to DQ for a cool treat. Jack also enjoyed his first ice cream (well at least that I know of.) He would have eaten my mom’s entire cone if she had let him.
Jack stood up with assistance from only the couch today. He didn’t quite pull himself up to it, but stayed there for quite awhile.
Check out the rear view of his head. Party in the front, business in the back. Poor boy has a reverse mullet.
It was a sunny day outside, but a bit too windy. Too bad, it wasn’t quite a warm as yesterday.
The weather was gorgeous today. It was so nice, that I laid outside on a blanket and read in the sun while both kids napped today (which is a rarity!) After Lauren woke up it was time to PLAY! I took the above pictures from my deck while Lauren played with the neighbors in THEIR backyard.

Today we took the kids for their very first ride together in the bike trailer. We took a couple of pictures, but neither were good enough to share. Maybe next time…
Today, we had the van washed and cleaned after our trip to Home Depot. Later, Lauren decided she needed to give her scooter a thorough cleaning as well. Here she is, hard at work.
Today, was home depot project day. Lauren made a flower planter that required lots and lots of nails and pounding. She is getting much better with the hammer, but still requires the use of her tongue to concentrate.
