It was a slightly cool and very blustery day. We decided to try to play outside anyway. We didn’t last too long.

Happy Mother’s Day!
Jack was napping and missed out on our Mother’s day photo. Lauren and I are modeling our matching MJC skirts. Soooo fun.
This may be Kevin’s 2nd or 3rd time running my camera. I should probably give him a few quick lessons. Anyhow, it was a fabulous day. Kevin did all of the cooking and most of the cleaning. I even took a nap (and that’s something I rarely do unless I have a headache.) Overall, a great day.

Let’s hear it for a nice day!
Today, was Home Depot day. Check out all the bling on Lauren’s apron. It feels like we’ve been doing this with her forever now. The project was an adorable tulip planter.
Jack helped out by looking adorable.
It was such a gorgeous day today. Lauren heard me say that yesterday too, so she repeated it all day long. She’s big into a repeating stage right now (which is bad for us!) Jack enjoyed lots of time outdoors and discovered some water to play in on the deck. He had a blast splashing and playing. When he ran out of rain water I got him a bowl from in the house. Unfortunately, he decided to drink it and the last photo is his reaction to the cold water (that mostly landed on him, instead of his mouth.)
Now, freshly napped and changed into some dryer clothes, he’s ready to jam with daddy on the uke. Kevin says that first picture is the happy face he makes whenever I pick him up. I have never noticed (maybe because I’m picking him up?)
In case you were wondering where Lauren was during these pics, she was playing with her neighbor friend. I’m making a gross face because Lauren had just told me that she “found” that cookie and was eating it. It turns out Rosie gave it to her and she wasn’t eating found food (gross!)
Jack and I rocking our MJC Straightee pants.
Happy Mother’s day
Here is Jack’s footprint rooster to match Lauren’s handprint hen. This was my mom’s mother’s day gift from me. The kiddo’s made a planter for her at the nursery. It’s difficult to see in the photo, but it is Jack’s footprint under the handmade paper. I can’t wait to see them framed and proudly displayed beside each other on my parent’s hutch.

I’m NOT crabby!
Well, actually, mommy begs to differ (occasionally.)
Jack says, “I think we’re done here, bubye.”
Finally, our first capri pants day of the year.
We had some lunch at target (first time ever.) It was fun and the kids enjoyed it. Lauren was especially please that I let her have chocolate milk instead of white.
Then, we did a little shopping and a little playing. Jack had fun motoring around the play area chasing Lauren and me.

Thursday/flying beanitude
Bean likes to move her stool out from her bed and take a leap onto it. It’s quite entertaining to watch.
…and 1 with the flash, just so I can prove that I am capable of taking pictures that aren’t blurry.

Wednesday
Today, we met some friends at the Children’s Museum and had to take a pic of Lauren by the mural. She did the yellow piece right by her head.
Napless
I know a little girl, who didn’t take a nap today. She ‘rested’ during her nap time and then, fell asleep in a chair while watching a show later in the afternoon. She’s a little bit old for a nap, but has started falling asleep during rest time again, so her body must be needing it, right?

Tuesday/45 weeks
Jack’s weekly pictures quickly morph into something else. It always includes danger and my other hand inches away (trying to stay out of the picture, yet steady the camera.)

Rockin’
I got Jack a little rocking horse from Craigslist today. We had to bust out Lauren’s (my) old horsey too. Jack enjoyed the rocking action but is still a bit young to hold on reliably.
