Yet..more rain

We gave up on trying to play outside after the rain came down out of nowhere.  We literally had 5 seconds of warning when Phil yelled, “Run quick, here it comes!”

Dam bike ride

Kevin is still gone (all week!) but I really wanted to do the annual Alumni Dam Bike Ride so I convinced a babysitter to come keep the kids company while I rode 24 miles for some Dam Pie (it was good!)  It was a good ride, but the trail was wet in a few places so I ended up covered in mud on the way back home.  The Dam was pretty crazy with onlookers checking out the high water levels since it’s been pouring pretty much all week (please keep running sump pump!!)

Pow wow

Since Kevin is going to be gone all week we decided to head down to Windom to see the grandparents and go to the Pow Wow celebration in Mt. Lake.  Unfortunately, the rain had a different idea so the parade was cancelled.  Luckily, we made the decision to head over early to try to beat the rain otherwise the kids would have been pretty disappointed to  miss out on the fun.

Happy Anniversary (kinda)

Kevin is finally home so tonight we went out (with the kids) to celebrate our anniversary.  We went to bonfire and the kids enjoyed watching their little pizzas cook in the giant fire.  They even got to put some wood up on the counter for the chef to add to the fire.

Art Splash

Today we checked out the Art Splash in lower North.  I almost bought something, but then changed my mind.  Oh, I take that back, we bought the kids a treat from the ice cream truck.  :) It was a hot day!!

Happy Anniversary

Pity Party, table for 1 please.  Kevin is away for work and I’m sick!! Yuck.  The kids pretty much just ran amok today while I laid down and repeatedly gargled with salt water, thieves oil and cepacol spray.  Yum!  We celebrated with a candlelight dinner from McDonalds. Ha!

Lauren’s haircut

Today, Lauren got her hair trimmed up a few inches.  Unfortunately, there is no solution to the major breakage she suffers from other than hacking it off. :(

We then drowned our hair sorrows in ice cream.

Today, we celebrated Courtney’s graduation from High School.  Court is my cousin’s daughter and babysits the kids on occasion.  We just love her!!  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic of her with the kids. :(
