Up at Loyola they have a community garden (where you can rent land if you can’t have your own garden.) Apparently, all summer long they have been having a “Little sprouts’ gardening class.” Unfortunately, today was the last day of it, even if it was out first time attending. Lauren had a blast and thought it was the best time ever. I thought the bean tent was cool and the big red barn would be gorgeous for outdoor fall photos.

Today, we played with Mark (and the twins) for awhile. Here are the kids having a picnic snack in the Larson’s garage. Good times! :)
Lauren will be starting soccer in September. She’s very excited about this. I’m just hoping it isn’t as painful to watch as I’ve heard it is.
We’ve been joking that soon, Jack will be big enough to just sit on Lauren and squash her. I think the time has come.
The kids and I got to “kitty sit” for a couple of days. Our neighbors just got another kitten and they wanted us to check on it (to make sure it wasn’t stuck in the couch as it’s tiny.) I also made my first layered jello. It was a pain in the butt, but the kids loved it!
Last week, after the last day of Summer camp, we took the kids to the wow zone for some mini golf and bowling. Lauren ended up winning her game of bowling, but was minimally interested in the mini golf.
After the wow zone fun, we had some McDonalds (with our friends) and called it a day.
Today, was the second (and last) day of dance camp. The video is of the large group dance which they learned in a short period of time. I didn’t get any video of their small group dance as Lauren had to go potty right before it started and missed the entire dance (except for the last 3 seconds.) Grrr!
Today, Lauren had a mini dance camp at Hosanna. She had a blast and is looking forward to going back again tomorrow. After class, we stopped to have some playtime at a nearby park.
A decade later…..the reflection has definitely changed. This pic was taken at MSU in the reflective windows of the student union. I walked this path at least once a day during my 4 years there. It was like a giant mirror every day, and I remember using it as such.
Again, Jack took it upon himself to go for a dip in the pool. I was holding his hands while he stood by the pool (not really looking down at him, but talking to Lauren.) All of a sudden, I felt his weight shift and then he was in the pool. Yikes!
Lauren had a very busy week. She had summer camp in the mornings Monday-Thursday and had VBS in the evenings Sunday-Thursday. It was a good time for everyone. After the little concert @VBS on Thursday there was a car show and some treats, yum! Lauren is already asking when she gets to go back to VBS, so it was definitely a hit with her.
I can’t believe I don’t do this to her hair more often, it’s pretty cute. I put them in braids to keep her cool at summer camp today. It’s an outdoor morning only community ed. camp. I think she’ll have a great time!
