We decided to head to Windom for riverfest this year. It had been quite a few years since we were there and I wanted to run the 5k. Friday night was the soapbox derby (which the kids found mildly entertaining for about 15 minutes.) Later that evening, was the fireworks. Lauren loved them last time so we thought we’d be brave and keep Jack up late to enjoy them as well. FAIL! He was not appreciative of the noises and being up late. I ended up putting him in his car seat (which is still rear facing so he had a spectacular view.) in the van. He was totally calm and content once he was snuggled into his familiar seat.

It was fun to try out the new camera on the fireworks. I thought the pictures turned out pretty, but it was very difficult to time the shutter and aim it in the right place.
Last time (June 2010-heavily pregnant) This time in 2012 (Yes, I intentionally had Jack wear the same sweatshirt.)
